The GIPC team, led by CEO Mr. Simon Madjie, called on the Oti Regional Minister, Hon. John Kwadwo Gyapong, ahead of the Oti Regional Investment Forum to discuss the Centre’s investment strategies and collaborative plans for the region.
At the meeting, the Minister commended the Centre for its commitment to expanding investment promotion efforts across the country and its dedication to increasing the participation of local players in Ghana’s investment ecosystem.
He described Oti as a “young and vibrant region” endowed with vast opportunities which, with the right support and investment, could spur significant development for its people and the nation at large. He further highlighted the region’s strong agricultural potential and substantial sustainable mining prospects, including deposits of lithium, iron ore, and nickel.
Hon. Gyapong opined that the Investment Roadshow is a timely initiative that aligns with the region’s development agenda and encouraged the Centre to build on this momentum to further strengthen its presence in Oti.
In response, Mr. Madjie explained that the roadshow is part of a broader effort to strengthen investment promotion and expand opportunities across all regions of the country, including Oti.
He assured the Minister of the Centre’s commitment to working closely with the Regional Coordinating Council to advance investment strategies that attract strategic partnerships, foster economic growth, and drive local development.
The Centre’s Board Chairman, who joined the courtesy visit, echoed Mr. Madjie’s remarks, emphasizing the Centre’s strategic approach to boosting the economic viability of all districts and regions in Ghana.
He added that by championing the growth of local economies, the country can achieve its goal of inclusive and sustainable national progress.
