The Chief of Staff of Julius Debrah on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama and presiidency
was at Anlo-Afiadenyigba together with the Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu Ministers of State, Members of Parliament, the Volta Regional Chairman of the NDC, Mawutor Agbavitor, leadership of the ruling NDC and other distinguished dignitaries for the final funeral rites of the late Presbyter Henrietta Atsufui Avuglah, beloved mother of Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, MP for Keta on Saturday, 28th February 2026,

It was a solemn yet dignified ceremony that brought together family, friends, traditional leaders, clergy, and well-wishers from across the country to celebrate a life dedicated to faith, service, and community.
Presbyter Henrietta Avuglah at 76 was known for her devotion to the work of the church and for the strong values she instilled in her children and all who came into contact with her.
On behalf of the people of the Volta Region, James Gunu extended his heartfelt condolences to Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, his siblings Gakpey and Avuglah families.
“The loss of a mother leaves a deep void, and we share in their grief during this difficult time”, The Regional Minister added.
The huge turnout and show of solidarity reflected the high regard in which she was held, “it was a powerful reminder that when one of us mourns, we all stand together”.
May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
