The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has announced an end-of-year holiday for staff from 24 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, alongside a special incentive package, during a lively staff durbar at its Accra headquarters on Friday.
The event brought together management and staff to reflect on the year’s achievements and celebrate the dedication of employees. Speaking at the gathering, NHIA Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Victor Asare Bampoe, praised staff for their hard work, noting that their efforts have strengthened the Authority’s operations and improved service delivery across the country.
Dr. Bampoe also highlighted a major milestone: the National Health Insurance Scheme now has over 20 million members, a key step toward achieving Universal Health Coverage in Ghana. “Supporting our staff and investing in their growth will always remain a top priority,” he added.
The durbar featured a presentation from the Mahama Cares Project committee, which donated a token to support the foundation’s humanitarian initiatives.
Staff expressed gratitude to management for its leadership and commitment to workforce development, describing the event as inspiring and timely. The durbar underscored NHIA’s dedication to building strong institutional capacity while recognizing the vital contributions of its employees.
