Christians worldwide are preparing to celebrate Good Friday to mark the last day of the Holy Week ahead of Easter Sunday.

Good Friday is a significant day in Christianity, commemorating the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.

It is observed during Holy Week, the week leading up to Easter, and it is a crucial part of the Christian calendar, leading up to the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection.

Christians worldwide use the period to reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice and death.

Many Christians fast or attend special church services throughout the period as a commitment to Christ forever.

The holy cross is a central symbol, representing Jesus’ sacrifice as the Son of God.

On Sundays, special services are often held with music, readings, and sermons.

It is a devotional practice tracing Jesus’ journey to the crucifixion, and many observe it as such.

Spiritually,
Good Friday is a somber yet meaningful day for Christians, emphasizing sacrifice and redemption- Jesus’ death is seen as a sacrifice for humanity’s sins in the number of love and forgiveness for Jesus’ actions demonstrate love and forgiveness.

In Ghana, many continue the celebrations at beaches and church services to party and hold family meetings.
