GoldBod has engaged small-scale miners in the Ashanti Regional Capital, Kumasi to advance gold trading reforms and District Buying Centres.
At the stakeholder forum, CEO Sammy Gyamfi outlined progress, challenges, and solicited input into the implementation of ongoing reforms, particularly the rollout of District Gold Buying Centres.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening transparency, curbing smuggling and underpricing, and bringing structured gold markets closer to miners.
With small-scale production rising significantly and contributing billions in foreign exchange, the focus remains on protecting these gains through formalisation and collaboration.

GoldBod is building a more accountable, inclusive, and resilient gold sector for Ghana.
