The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Export-Import Bank (GEXIM), Mr. Sylvester A. Mensah, has engaged a high-level delegation from the Export-Import Bank of India to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and project finance.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Annual Meetings. The Indian delegation was led by Ms. Harsha Bangari, Managing Director of India EXIM Bank, and included Mr. Vikramaditya Ugra, Chief General Manager; Ms. Snehal Bangera, Chief Manager – International Relations Group; and Mr. Rajesh Kumar Gulla, Resident Representative.
India EXIM Bank played a foundational role in the establishment of Ghana EXIM Bank by supporting the design of its operational structure and providing guidance on the adoption of best practices and institutional frameworks.
Discussions between the two institutions focused on deepening their collaboration, with an emphasis on leveraging existing ties to explore new opportunities that align with Ghana’s economic transformation agenda.
Mr. Mensah expressed optimism about the continued partnership and the potential to use it as a platform for driving inclusive growth and sustainable development across Ghana.
