Policy Analyst, Andrews Maxford has stated that the tariffs imposed by the Trump Administration will reshape the future of global trade, investments, and security.

In a post, Mr. Maxford noted that “The more I think about Donald Trump’s Tariffs, the more one thing is clear and certain – the faith of a society depends largely on the worldview of its leaders. Thus, the kind of education attained, whether privately or publicly, is crucial to shaping the destiny of a given society and the world at large.”

It will be recalled that the Trump Administration on April 2, 2025, imposed broad-based tariffs on several nations across the world as a way to remedy what the Administration refers to as “unfair trade policies and practices.”

However, according to Mr. Maxford, “The tariffs imposed by the Trump Administration will go down in history as perhaps the most consequential policy decision in the past century, reshaping the future of international trade and investments, and global peace and security, as nations and regions move largely away from idealism and multilateralism to realism and protectionist standpoints.”
