The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) held its 10th Graduation Ceremony, and it was a momentous occasion when Dr. Gabriel Kwamigah Atopkle, Volta Representative on the Council of State, graced the event, joining the Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, at the Cedi Auditorium on the Sokode Lokoe campus.
During the ceremony, Dr. Atopkle presented the Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple Prize, worth $1,500, to Mohammed Mustapha, the Overall Outstanding Graduating Student in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. This prestigious award recognizes Mustapha’s exceptional hard work and academic excellence.

In a significant honour, the UHAS Alumni Association presented Dr. Atopkle with a citation and announced him as their Patron. Dr. Atopkle expressed his gratitude, pledging to continue supporting the University community and promoting the growth and welfare of its students and alumni.
In his address, Dr. Atopkle encouraged the graduates to approach the future with confidence, positivity, and an entrepreneurial spirit. He expressed his confidence that they would uphold the reputation of UHAS and Ghana, wherever their journeys take them.

The event was a testament to the strong partnership between the University and the community, with Dr. Atopkle praising the University’s leadership, including the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Lydia Aziato, and the Registrar, for their dedication and support.
