Keta MP, MCE jointly begins construction of Classroom, CHPS Compound @ Atiavi and Seva
The Membner of Parliament for Keta in conjunction with the Municipal Chief Executive under took a historic Sod-Cutting Ceremony for the construction of a 3-unit classroom block at Atiavi–Atime M/A Basic School and a CHPS Compound at Seva.
These projects according to the Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey highlighted President John Dramani Mahama’s Resetting Agenda, aimed at strengthening education, improving healthcare access, and accelerating inclusive development across deprived communities.

Addressing the gathering Mr Gakpey, expressed profound gratitude to the people for their massive support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 general elections. He emphasized that the development of Keta Municipality remains very dear to his heart and assured residents that he will continue to lobby tirelessly for more transformational projects.
According to him, “This is only the beginning; many more good things are yet to come.”
The Municipal Chief Executive, Wisdom Seade also used the occasion to urge community members to take ownership of the projects by policing them and offering maximum cooperation to the contractors.
He cautioned contractors against the use of substandard materials and appealed to the public to properly maintain the facilities upon completion so that they could serve generations to come.
Both the MP and the MCE expressed however , thanked the government and all stakeholders for their commitment to bringing development closer to the people of Keta Constituency.
The projects are expected to be completed within six months, a development that will significantly ease the suffering of residents while enhancing access to quality education and healthcare delivery in the beneficiary communities.
Traditional rulers, chiefs, and elders could not hide their admiration and appreciation for the timely interventions.
They pledged their unwavering support and offered prayers for God’s guidance, protection, and success for the NDC government.
The Municipal Directors of Health and Education also shared in the joy, describing the projects as a major boost to service delivery in the municipality.
They commended the MP, MCE, and the NDC government for prioritizing the welfare of the people, noting that the projects will significantly improve healthcare access and educational standards across Keta.
