Visual impairment has been one of the greatest health challenges facing Ghanaians.
Unfortunately, however, many victims of this malady belong to the vulnerable and
impoverished group in the country most of whom become hapless in the face of their predicament, knowing no where to seek medical help.

This is because the cost of curing for the ailment, ‘’visual impairment’’ is so costly that victims, in their desperation often throw their hands in despair with most of them going blind all together.

Though some NGOs, once in a while organizing screening exercises, the impact become minimal as only a fraction of victims are covered by such exercises.

Qatar Jumps In

The middle-East country of Qatar, though rich in oil production, has been caught up in the current America-Isreali- Iranian conflict.

This not withstanding, the conflict- afflicted country has thrown her own problems aside, and jumped into Ghana to assist victims of visual impairment.

Subsequently, Qatar, behaving like Biblical Good Samaritan, has out of magnamity and in the name of brotherhood come to Ghana to help victims out of their ailment
