The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo, has conducted a series of on-site inspections to assess sanitation works in four municipalities, aiming to strengthen environmental health and public safety.
The tour covered Korle Klottey, Ga North, Ga Central, and Okaikoi North, focusing on waste evacuation, drain maintenance, and compliance with sanitation regulations.
While progress was noted in some areas, gaps were identified in enforcement, contractor performance, and community compliance.
Minister Ocloo engaged with local authorities, issuing directives to address shortcomings and emphasizing accountability and adherence to public health standards.
The inspections are part of a broader regional strategy to ensure cleaner communities and reduce sanitation-related health risks, with follow-up visits planned to monitor progress.
