The Member of Parliament for Keta, Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, has kicked off a massive free eye screening and surgery programme in the Keta Municipality.
The initiative, in partnership with Lifetime Well Vision, Friends Eye Centre, and the Keta Municipal Assembly, aims to provide quality eye care to residents.

The programme, which began on November 26, 2025, has already screened several people, with some referred to the Keta Municipal Hospital for surgery.
On November 27, the team visited Hatorgodo, taking advantage of the Farmers’ Day celebration to reach more people.

The team is now inviting residents from surrounding communities, including Tsiame, Asadame, Gbetuinu, Horgbata, and Avele, to take advantage of the free eye screening at Tsiame Roman Catholic Basic School.
The programme emphasizes that “Your vision matters!” and encourages everyone to come out and have their eyes checked.
