Professor Kingsley Nyarko, Member of Parliament for the Kwadaso Constituency and former Deputy Minister for Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), paid a visit today to the Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College.
The purpose of the visit was to engage with the college leadership and students, better understand their concerns, and express solidarity following a recent fire outbreak that destroyed one of the school’s hostels. The incident left several students displaced and emotionally affected.
During his visit, Prof. Nyarko held a constructive dialogue with the leadership of the institution. He conveyed his deep sympathy and concern over the unfortunate event and assured them of his unwavering support during this difficult time.
He also interacted with final-year students, delivering an inspiring message. He encouraged them to remain committed to their studies and to surround themselves with peers who promote academic excellence. He emphasized the importance of cultivating friendships that support learning and urged students to strive to make their families, the institution, and the Kwadaso Constituency proud.
To further support the college and to aid students affected by the fire, Prof. Nyarko donated GHS 10,000.00, assuring them of his continued commitment. He reaffirmed that his office remains open and accessible to all educational institutions within the constituency.
The management of the college expressed profound gratitude for his consistent support, especially in aiding the accreditation of both institutions—the Kwadaso and Barekese campuses—and the recent donation. They offered prayers for him, asking for God’s protection and guidance so that the institution could continue to count on him for support in the years ahead.
