The University of Education Winneba (UEW) is set to host the “Beyond the Degree Conference” on Saturday, 14th March 2026, at the JAM Auditorium, starting at 9:00 AM. The event, themed “Developing Competent Leaders for a Changing World,” is organized by the UEW Students’ Representative Council (SRC) as its 3rd Convo, titled “Rebirth of Hope.”
Dr. Victor Asare Bampoe, Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), will serve as a Guest Speaker at the conference. Through the NHIS Campus Connect initiative, Dr. Bampoe will engage students in discussions about health insurance, leadership, and responsible citizenship, offering insights on leadership, national service, and the NHIA’s role in building a healthier Ghana.

The conference will also feature Osahen Alexander Afenyo-Markin, Member of Parliament for Effutu, as the Keynote Speaker, and Mrs. Eku Abeni-Boafo, Regional Director of National Service Scheme, as another Guest Speaker. The event will be hosted by Ebenezer Annobil, SRC President of UEW.
Students will have the opportunity to interact with the NHIA CEO, gaining valuable perspectives on leadership and health insurance’s impact on national development.
