He said, the confirmation of the President’s nominees “unanimously means we have moved from planning to action- delivering on roads, schools, health centres, sanitation, youth empowerment, and the many other initiatives our communities urgently need”.

In his Facebook post,
Gabriel Kwamigah Atople aka Chief TANKO is confident that the MMDCEs will rise to the occasion and give their all to the development of various Municipalities and Districts across the Volta Region and “together, we can make Volta a model of unity-driven development”.

According to him, the Region has once again achieved a remarkable milestone by confirming 18 out of 18 nominees, “I firmly believe that with your support, our MMDCEs will deliver on the visions of the President while prioritizing the development agenda aggressively”.

The Council Member, joined the Regional Minister, James Gunu and the Regional Executives led by the Chairman, Mawutor Agbavitor on the last day to appeal to Assembly Members to officially conclude the endorsement ceremonies of the MMDCE nominees by the President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama.

Mr. Atople used the opportunity to thank all Assembly Members in the Volta Region for rallying behind the President’s nominees for Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) and confirmed them unanimously.
