After attending the National Economic Dialogue at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), where critical economic and developmental issues were discussed, I had a productive engagement with the Managing Director/CEO of Ayush International Ltd., Mr. Sumeet Menda.
Our discussions focused on key areas of collaboration in agriculture, healthcare, industrialization, and infrastructure development; sectors essential for driving sustainable growth in the Volta Region.
Ayush International Ltd., an established company operating in India and Nigeria, specializes in consultancy, manufacturing, agro-processing, mineral extraction and refinery, and healthcare. The company has expressed strong interest in partnering with us to advance our vision for economic transformation in these sectors.
A major highlight of our conversation was the proposal to establish a Children and Women’s Hospital, a project that aligns with my commitment to improving healthcare access for the most vulnerable. This initiative also resonates with the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s manifesto promises to enhance maternal and child healthcare, ensuring that every Ghanaian regardless of their socio-economic background has access to quality medical services.
Beyond healthcare, we explored agricultural advancements, including post-harvest processing, rice milling, and the setup of agro-industrial assembly plants. Recognizing the critical role of mechanization in improving productivity, Ayush International Ltd. assured me of its readiness to supply cutting-edge technology and solar-powered machinery to support local farmers.
I am encouraged by the depth of our discussions and the immense potential this partnership holds for our people. As we forge ahead, my focus remains on enhancing strategic collaborations that drive real and lasting development.
I remain committed to transformational leadership and sustainable development, ensuring that every initiative we pursue creates meaningful impact and opportunities for our people.
