The Free Zone Association paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi, on Friday, March 14, 2025. The purpose of the visit was to introduce the association’s executives to the new CEO and explore opportunities for collaboration to enhance the effectiveness of the free zones and contribute to national development.
Dr. Awusi encouraged the association to leverage the 24-hour economy initiative. In response, the association requested a meeting between the 24-hour economy secretariat and Free Zone enterprises to gain a deeper understanding of how to participate fully and the potential benefits for their businesses.
Reaffirming her commitment to supporting their investments, Dr. Awusi assured them of the Authority’s readiness to facilitate their success. She also highlighted the existence of a dedicated aftercare unit within the GFZA, which companies can engage for assistance in resolving any operational challenges.
The Free Zone Association delegation was led by its Chairman, Mr. Olivier Chassang, accompanied by the Secretary, Ms. Amanda Gadzekpo, along with other members. Representing the GFZA at the meeting were the Director of Corporate Affairs & PR, Mrs. Patience Agbleze Acorlor, and the Director of Administration, Mr. Ziblim Alhassan.
