The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has intensified its LPG safety campaign in Sunyani, engaging students and traders on the safe use of gas.
Officials cautioned the public against repainting corroded LPG cylinders, stressing that rust may also occur inside and cylinders must be requalified after 10 years.
The NPA highlighted that under the Cylinder Recirculation Model, only safe and certified cylinders will be circulated.
Consumers were also urged to store cylinders in well-ventilated areas, transport them upright, and prioritize safety to protect lives, property, and health.
This awareness campaign is part of the NPA’s ongoing national effort to promote the safe use of petroleum products and prevent accidents, ensuring Ghanaians can benefit from cleaner energy sources without compromising on safety.
