The Public Services Workers’ Union (PSWU) of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), Environmental Protection Authority Division and EPASSA, extend their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Government, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Party and the people of Ghana on the untimely passing of the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Alhahi Dr. Mutala Mohammed, and the seven others who tragically lost their lives in yesterday’s Military Helicopter accident.

They say, “this loss has deeply affected us all. Alhaji Murtala’s leadership and service, in particular to the environment sector, the union and the nation, will be remembered with great respect and admiration”.

They also honour the memory of the other individuals, including Dr. Omane Boama, the Minister for Defence, whose lives were cut short in the line of duty.

In this time of grief, “we stand in solidarity with the nation and pray that the Almighty Allah (God) grant the departed eternal rest and console their families and all who mourn them”.

May their souls rest in perfect peace.
