True to the saying ‘when troubles come, they came in their numbers’ tragedy has hit 64 year old ex-teacher, Stephen Frimpong Mensah depriving him of his wife and first born within a spate of two weeks. The miserable ex-teacher, likening his situation to Biblical Job, stated that he has nothing to say except to give all to God, who gives and takes at His own will.
’There is nothing I can do or say in these trying moments, than to leave all into the hands of the Almighty, who gives and takes in His own time! ‘’he bemoaned pathetically. Narrating his ordeal to fmnewsonline.com Frimpong-Mensah popularly knows as Kwabena Alan Cash, maintained that he has been rendered not only miserable, but also knocked senseless in the face of what he described as ‘Double Agony’!
Frimpong-Mensah, a native of Sefwi Kwafrukea in the Bodi Constituency has now been resident at Sefwi Bosomoinso in the Sefwi Wiawso constituency all in the Western North Region. He recalled that his beloved wife, Lydia Mensah, aka Mama Lee, 56, is a native of Bosomoiso with whom he has been married for over 15 years (second wife).
According to the ex-teacher, Lydia fell sick for barely two weeks and passed on to glory on March 22nd, 2026 at the Sefwi Wiawso Government Hospital.
Then the unthinkable happened on March 1st 2026 when his first born, Silas Asampong 35, also passed on, on March 1 2026. Meanwhile, being his first issue, Silas has been buried with the funeral rites having been performed already. However, that of the late wife, Lydia Mensah will be performed on April 11,2026.
