The Member of Parliament (MP) for Akontonbra Constituency in the Western North Region, Pius Kwame Nkuah, has, on behalf of his constituents, expressed profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Administration for capturing some major roads in the constituency for attention in this year’s budget statement.
This road, the Akontobra – Adabokrom road, he mentioned, was a very important stretch in the constituency. While thanking the President for this project, he also appealed to him and his administration to take into consideration the construction of the 26km stretch from Addeibuakrom – Akonaduakrom to Sefwi Wra Wso Road, which he said had been abandoned since 2019.
According to the MP, this road, which had been awarded to a contractor, had been abandoned ever since, with the contractor vanishing into thin air from the silt for lack of funds from the previous New Patriotic Party Administration.
Hon. Nkuah pointed out that since this stretch is a heartfelt road in the constituency, he and his constituents would be most grateful if it could be considered for construction with the bridges there also built.
The MP was of the view that if the road project could be offered the same attention under the Big Push as the previous one, he and his people would be forever most grateful and faithful to the NDC government.
