Ghana’s Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Awatey, has announced plans to rename the DVLA Roundabout in Koforidua after the late former Defence Minister, Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah.
The move aims to preserve Dr. Boamah’s legacy and recognize his contributions to national development, particularly in the Eastern Region.
The decision follows a courtesy visit by Minister Awatey and Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu to Dr. Boamah’s mother in Koforidua.
The redesigned roundabout will symbolize patriotism, service, and leadership, inspiring young people to pursue national service with dedication.
The Eastern Regional Coordinating Council and the Ministry of Transport will collaborate on the re-engineering project, renaming it the Dr. Omane Boamah Roundabout. Would you like to know more about Dr. Boamah’s contributions or the impact of the memorial initiative?
