In a continued demonstration of his commitment to the development of his constituents, Sebastian Deh, Member of Parliament for Kpando,reaffirmed his focus on addressing the critical needs of the people, particularly the youth. His recent community engagement centered around the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) programme, which has been pivotal in empowering young people within the constituency.

This morning, Hon. Deh led an early community walk and held a public address at the forecourt of his constituency office. The event saw the participation of approximately 200 energetic youths from the current YEA cohort, who are engaged in various modules including Community Protection Assistants, Community Health Workers, Prison Office Assistants, Apprenticeship Trainees, Youth in Cocoa Cultivation, and Arabic Teachers.
Under the scorching morning sun and humid weather, the MP interacted directly with the youth, encouraging them to seize the opportunities provided by the YEA program. He emphasized the importance of skills acquisition and employment as catalysts for national development, urging the youths to maximize their potential.
Hon. Deh highlighted the fruitful collaboration with the Kpando Municipal Assembly, led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), relevant government agencies, and private sector partners such as Kumad Farms. He revealed that over 350 youths in the constituency have been supported across various employment modules within the YEA program, with about 200 participating in today’s walk.
In his address, the MP called on the youth to remain proactive and take advantage of the opportunities available to improve their livelihoods. He also expressed gratitude to all officials and partners supporting the initiative, reaffirming his commitment to youth empowerment and community development.
As Kpando continues to prioritize youth development, Hon. Deh’s active engagement underscores his dedication to building a brighter future for the young people of his constituency.
