Members of Parliament (MPs) have laced [their] boots for Anlo-Afiadenyigba in the Keta Municipality to mourn with their colleague, Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey this Saturday, February 28, 2026.
According to our information, besides the MPs, other workers in Parliament including members of the Parliamentary Press Corps (PPC) have also expressed interest to show up on the funeral ground to mourn with the bereaved MP.
As an MP, Hon Gakpey is reputed to have very cordial and warm relationship with his colleague [s] and all who come his way.
It therefore, comes as no wonder, the encouraging and worthy numbers of people who are empathizing and sympathizing with him on this day of grief for lost of his Mother.
Presbyter Henrietta Atsufui Avuglah 76, passed on last year in Accra, after a short illness.
Subsequently, the Avuglah and Atseku Amegah family of Anlo-Afiadenyigba are mourning the loss of their beloved Presbyter Henrietta Atsufui Avuglah, who passed away in 2025.
She was the mother of Hon. Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, Member of Parliament for Keta Constituency.
A pre-burial service will be held on *Friday, 27th February 2026*, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Anlo-Afiadenyigba E.P. Church. The final funeral rites are scheduled for *Saturday, 28th February 2026*, at 9:00 am at the same church.
A thanksgiving service will follow on *Sunday, 1st March 2026*, also at 9:00 am.
The family invites friends and well-wishers to bid farewell to Presbyter Avuglah, wearing funeral cloth attire.
