Paris, 18th October 2025 – The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, led a delegation from the Ministry to attend the 10th session of the Conference of Parties (COP-10) to the International Convention Against Doping in Sport. The conference, held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris from 20th to 22nd October, marks the 20th anniversary of the landmark Convention.
COP10 provided a significant opportunity to reflect on the progress made over the past two decades and to chart the course for future global efforts to uphold the values, ethics, and integrity of sport.
During his address, Hon. Adams highlighted the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) commitment to unifying global efforts and adopting new action plans aimed at eradicating doping in sport. He emphasized the need for continued innovation and cooperation to ensure the future of clean sport.
Additionally, he urged UNESCO to remain steadfast in its dedication to ensuring that sport continues to be a powerful tool for inclusion and sustainable development.
The Minister was accompanied by the Chief Director of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, Mrs. Wilhelmina Asamoah, and Mr. Prince Azanu Emekor, an officer with the Ghana Anti-Doping Secretariat.
