The Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo (Esq.), has urged the Authority’s football team to go all out to win this year’s University of Ghana Corporate Games trophy.
He said it was crucial for the team to showcase the NPA’s strength not only in industry, but in sports as well.
The NPA Boss gave these words of commendation when he welcomed the Authority’s football team and officials of the UG Corporate Games during a trophy tour on Monday.
Dr. Austin Luguterah of the University of Ghana Sports Directorate who led the delegation indicated that the tournament is aimed at building excitement, encouraging teamwork, and celebrating corporate sportsmanship.
In his remarks, the NPA soccer team captain, Mr. Tijani Shaibu, pledged to lead the NPA team to win the trophy for the Authority.The NPA is currently top of Group B with 13 points.
The sterling performance of the team gives a strong indication that it is poised to win the trophy.
Also present was the CEO of RITE Sports Services, Mr. Yaw Sakyi and some directors of the National Petroleum Authority.
