Bank of Ghana Grateful to Representatives of the Clergy in after a successful and productive engagement with them on the preparation towards the development of a framework to guide Non- Interest Banking and Finance. The meeting which was held the Bank Square, saw all the three governors, the advisor and the Directors of Banking Supervision Department and Communication Department of the Bank of Ghana in attendance.
The keynote of the Governor projected the business case of non- Interest banking and finance. The main discussion was led by Prof. John Gatsi and supported by Mr. Ismail Adam.
The engagement was productive and concluded with useful suggestions by the members at the meeting from the Catholic Bishops Conference, Christian Council of Ghana, Ghana Pentecostal Council, Alliance for Christian Advocacy, Assemblies of God, Pentecostal Council etc.
Financial inclusion and diversified funding of public and private infrastructure remain a compelling reason for non interest banking and finance
