The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Mr. Simon Madjie(Esq), has expressed the Centre’s readiness to collaborate with the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC) to attract strategic investments into the proposed petroleum hub project at Jomoro in the Western Region.
He said the project, once completed, has the potential to drive significant economic growth and development, particularly in the region, and reaffirmed GIPC’s commitment to facilitating investments that support national industrialization efforts.
Mr. Madjie made the remarks during a meeting with Mr. Onasis Kobby Rosely, Deputy CEO of PHDC in charge of Operations and Technical Matters, and Madam Abigail Abrokwa, Senior Business Development Manager at PHDC.
The engagement was aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two institutions as the PHDC continues to mobilise interest and resources for the hub.
Mr. Rosely outlined the transformative impact of the project, noting that it would create employment, enhance local infrastructure, and position Ghana as a key player in the global petroleum industry.
He appealed for GIPC’s support in making the Corporation’s vision a reality.
The GIPC CEO welcomed the initiative and underscored the Centre’s role in promoting large-scale investments that align with Ghana’s development priorities.
