In Singapore, President John Dramani Mahama urged investors to use Ghana as a strategic hub for doing business in Africa. He made the call during the opening of the Africa Singapore Business Forum (ASBF), emphasizing that “Africa is investable and Ghana is your strategic gateway to the continent.” He added that Ghana offers a trusted starting point for expanding across Africa.
President Mahama also assured investors of his administration’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment; a key step being the conclusion of a Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) with Singapore.
Grace Fu, Singapore’s Minister for Environment and Sustainability and Minister in charge of Trade, echoed President Mahama’s sentiment and expressed confidence that the BIT would be a significant milestone for a deeper and more sustainable economic partnership between Ghana and Singapore.
Also, at the Singapore Business Forum is Ghana’s Minister for Trade, Agribusiness & Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare.
