In collaboration with the Government of Ghana led by President John Dramani Mahama, The Sector Minister on his Facebook wall announced the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebration, scheduled for December 5th, 2025, and will take place at the Ho Sports Stadium in the Volta Region.
This annual celebration honors the vital contributions of farmers to Ghana’s socio-economic development and food security.

Ghana’s agricultural sector continues to serve as a cornerstone of the country’s economic development, with the upcoming 41st Farmers’ Day celebration in the Volta Region underscoring this vital industry.
The Feed Ghana Programme, launched few weeks aimed to leverage agriculture as a driver of economic growth, food security, and employment generation. By focusing on increased food production, value addition, and sustainable farming practices, the initiative seeks to position Ghana as a key player in West Africa’s agricultural landscape.
Economic analysts note that such strategic investments in agriculture are crucial for diversifying Ghana’s economy, reducing reliance on imports, and creating opportunities for smallholder farmers. The celebration not only recognizes farmers’ contributions but also signals the government’s resolve to implement policies that stimulate economic activity in rural communities.
As Ghana advances its developmental agenda, the emphasis on agriculture as a catalyst for economic transformation is expected to yield long-term benefits, including poverty reduction, improved nutrition, and increased exports.
