The Member of Parliament for Akatsi North, Peter Nortsu-Kotoe paid a motivational visit to Ave Senior High School, where 537 students are sitting for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
As a former Teacher and DCE, he encouraged the students to perform to the best of their abilities and avoid exam malpractice.
To support the students during this critical period, Mr. Nortsu-Kotoe presented each candidate with a mathematical set, a pen, 100 bags of sachet water, and several bottles of mineral water.
This gesture aims to provide the students with essential materials and refreshments to help them stay focused throughout the examination period.
In a bid to further support brilliant but needy students from the district, the MP promised to provide a full package of items on the prospectus, including a trunk and chop box, to each student who gains admission to Ave Senior High School.
This promise is expected to motivate the students to work hard and strive for excellence.
During the visit, the MP also honored a pledge made to the staff of AVESCO (Ave Senior High Schoolโs staff association) by providing them with a DSTV decoder and a full one-year subscription.
This gesture follows an earlier donation of a 65-inch television to the school in December last year.
The MPโs visit and gifts are seen as a boost to the studentsโ morale and a demonstration of the legislatorโs commitment to supporting education in the constituency.
