The Complementary Education Agency (CEA), under the Ministry of Education, has officially launched the Revised Curriculum for the Complementary Basic Education (CBE) Programme, one of its flagship initiatives aimed at providing learning opportunities for out-of-school children in Ghana.

Delivering remarks on behalf of the Minister for Education, the Deputy Minister, Dr Clement Abass Apaak, emphasized that the revised curriculum is a critical intervention to strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy, particularly for children who have missed out on formal education. He noted that the initiative aligns with government’s commitment to inclusive and equitable education for all.

The event was chaired by the Technical Advisor to the Minister, Prof. George K. T. Oduro, who highlighted the critical role of the CBE Programme in bridging learning gaps and supporting children who have missed out on formal schooling. He emphasized the need for sustained collaboration among stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and long-term impact.

Development partners also delivered solidarity messages, reaffirming their commitment to supporting Ghana’s education sector. They commended the Ministry for the initiative and pledged continued collaboration to enhance access, improve learning outcomes, and strengthen inclusive education across the country.
