Wa East MP expands Educational Support Scheme to alleviate financial burden on tertiary students

In his bid to further support students in his constituency, the Member of Parliament for Wa East, Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw has announced an expansion of his educational support scheme.

Building on the government’s “No Fees Stress Policy,” the MP’s initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on tertiary students, particularly those pursuing challenging courses.

According to him Students pursuing demanding courses like Law, Medicine, Nursing, Engineering, and Computer Science in public tertiary institutions will have their fees fully covered from second year to completion.

And, Students in other disciplines will receive partial fee support from second year to completion.

This initiative in his words posted on Facebook seeks to make quality education more accessible to students from Wa East, “promoting academic excellence and reducing financial stress.”

The MP’s expanded support scheme is expected to benefit a larger number of students in Wa East, enabling them to focus on their studies without financial worries.

The move demonstrates the MP’s commitment to empowering his constituents through education.

“Students interested in the scheme can reach out to the designated zonal representatives for more information (details available on the attached flyer). The MP’s office is likely to provide guidance on eligibility criteria, application processes, and other relevant details”.

This initiative showcases the MP’s proactive approach to addressing the educational needs of his constituents, aligning with the government’s efforts to promote accessible and quality education.
