The District Chief Executive for Akatsi South, Daniel Dagba, has continued to prioritize infrastructure development and education in the district continues road reshaping works on Xavi Road specifically Akatsi Tatorme through Anyiheme.
On September 2, 2024, he inspected ongoing road reshaping works on the Xavi Road, specifically the stretch from Akatsi Tatorme through Anyiheme to the Akatsi bypass.
The project aimed to improve accessibility for commuters, particularly traders in the Akatsi main in order to boost economic activity in the area .
The road project is also expected to ease transportation challenges and enhance connectivity within the district.
“By improving road infrastructure, the district aims to stimulate economic growth and development”, Mr Dagba said on his Facebook page.
According to him, the project when finished will benefit local businesses, traders, and residents who rely on the road for their daily activities.
In a separate engagement, the DCE met with the Municipal Director of Education and heads of basic schools in the municipality to discuss pressing issues affecting basic schools.
The meeting, held at the E.P Church Ghana, Akatsi auditorium, focused on finding pragmatic solutions to these challenges.
The meeting discussed challenges facing basic schools in the District including infrastructure, resources, and teacher support.
The DCE and education officials promised to worke together to identify practical solutions to address these issues and improve the quality of education in the Area.
The meeting aimed to ensure a brighter future for the young children in the municipality by addressing the challenges they face in their educational journey
