The Acting Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority Edward Ekow Obeng-Kenzo, received the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, to the Authority’s Head Office in Accra on Friday, October 17, 2025.
The Minister’s visit formed part of his ongoing engagements with key institutions in the energy sector, aimed at deepening collaboration and advancing Ghana’s sustainable energy goals.
During the visit, Hon. Jinapor met with Management and staff of the Authority, reaffirming government’s commitment to building a resilient, inclusive, and green energy future. He assured the Authority of the Ministry’s continued support to enhance operational efficiency and sustain VRA’s leadership in Ghana’s power sector.
The Minister commended VRA for its professionalism, innovation, and leadership in power generation, encouraging staff to remain steadfast in their dedication to powering Ghana’s economy through the delivery of affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy.
In his remarks, the Acting Chief Executive, Mr. Obeng-Kenzo, reiterated VRA’s unwavering commitment to providing sustainable electricity and pledged the Authority’s full support for national efforts toward a resilient and green energy transition. He highlighted VRA’s ongoing initiatives in renewable energy development and environmental stewardship as key drivers of Ghana’s sustainable energy future.
Mr. Obeng-Kenzo also emphasized the importance of continuous innovation, stakeholder collaboration, and prudent resource management in ensuring a reliable and affordable power supply for all Ghanaians, reaffirming VRA’s dedication to adding value to lives across the nation.
