The Board and Management of the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCO) on Wednesday, 21st January 2026, paid a courtesy call on the Managing Director of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR).
The visit was, among other reasons, to officially congratulate TOR’s management on the remarkable success achieved in restoring refinery operations after a prolonged period of inactivity. The delegation also explored avenues for collaboration between GRIDCO and TOR in support of the Government’s reset agenda, particularly in strengthening strategic state-owned enterprises.
The GRIDCO delegation was led by its Board Chairperson, Kuukua Maurice Ankara, accompanied by members of the Board, the Chief Executive Officer, and other senior management officials.
They were warmly received by the Managing Director of TOR, together with the Deputy Managing Director and other members of TOR’s management team.
The resumption of operations at TOR marks a historic milestone in the company’s history and reaffirms its readiness to play a pivotal role in strengthening Ghana’s downstream petroleum industry, while delivering full value and benefits to the Ghanaian people.
