Residents of Laworshime, Mamime, and Hagodzi in theKeta Municipality are celebrating a major milestone after their communities were connected to the national electricity grid for the first time.
The commissioning ceremony, led by Keta MP Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, marks a significant step towards economic growth and improved livelihoods.
The electricity connection is expected to boost local businesses, enhance irrigation farming, support fishing and cold storage, and improve activities like local alcohol distillation.
The project is part of the NDC government’s efforts to improve living standards and create opportunities for sustainable development.

In addressing the joyful community folks, Hon. Gakpey praised the NDC government, the Minister of Energy and Green Transition, and Keta MCE Wisdom Seade for their commitment to development. Mr. Seade highlighted key NDC policies and upcoming projects aimed at improving living standards and creating opportunities for sustainable development.
