Ketu North MCE has joined his Member of Parliament, Eric Edem Agbana, to inspect ongoing works on the Big Push Road Project in the Volta Region, covering the Asikuma Junction to Aflao (Tokor) corridor.
Their inspection focused particularly on the Penyi–Tokor stretch, where they assessed the pace and quality of work being undertaken by the contractor.
In his Facebook page, the MCE, Rev. Martin Amenaki expressed joy as he reported that substantial progress has been made, and the project is steadily advancing toward completion.
According to him, “the quality of work done so far reflects the contractor’s dedication and the government’s renewed commitment to improving infrastructure across the region”.
The Big Push initiative represents a bold national effort to enhance road infrastructure, open up communities, and stimulate economic activity across Ghana.
The Penyi–Tokor stretch, in particular, serves as a critical link within the Ketu North Municipality, facilitating trade, transportation, and access to essential services.
During the visit, the two engaged with engineers and site supervisors to discuss progress, challenges, and timelines.
“I underscored the importance of adhering to engineering standards, ensuring public safety along the route, and completing the project within schedule to maximize its developmental impact”.
The MCE however, I commended Eric Edem Agbana for his strong collaboration and unwavering commitment to the transformation of Ketu North.
He also expressed his appreciation to the contractors and field workers for their hard work, as well as to the chiefs and residents of Penyi and nearby communities for their patience and cooperation throughout the construction period.
“The Municipal Assembly remains fully committed to supporting the timely completion of this project, which will significantly improve connectivity and drive inclusive development across the municipality”.
