Parliamentary Select Committee on Energy and Mines visited the Energy Commission as part of its oversight duties and commended the Commission for its commitment to Ghana’s energy transformation.
On 25th September, 2025, the Energy Commission had the honour of hosting the Parliamentary Committee on Energy, led by its Chairman, Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah.
The delegation was warmly received by Eunice Biritwum and taken through an insightful presentation outlining the Commission’s flagship programs and milestones.
From championing renewable energy projects in senior high schools to driving the national e-mobility agenda through the Drive Electric initiative, the Commission showcased its impact and forward-looking vision.
The visiting MPs expressed admiration for the Commission’s achievements and commended the EC team for its commitment to Ghana’s energy transformation.
The visit featured a Q&A session, where committee members posed questions on key topics such as compliance, renewable energy rollout, and strategies for achieving Ghana’s 2060 energy transition goals.
The Executive Secretary responded to each question with clarity and depth, offering insights into the Energy Transition Framework and the Commission’s roadmap for a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.
The session underscored not just accountability, but a strong partnership between policymakers and implementers in powering Ghana’s development.
