President John Dramani Mahama has cut the sod for the construction of the Bright International Amusement Park on Saturday, 4th October, 2025, a major project expected to serve as a key pillar in Ghana’s 24-hour economy initiative.
The project, powered by the Bui Power Authority, is designed to boost tourism, create sustainable jobs, and stimulate local economic growth. It also aims to promote women’s empowerment through inclusive employment opportunities within the park’s operations and management.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, President Mahama underscored the importance of the project in driving economic diversification and fostering social inclusion.
He noted that initiatives such as the Bright International Amusement Park align with his government’s broader vision of building a dynamic, service-oriented economy that operates effectively around the clock.
When completed, the Bright International Amusement Park is expected to become one of the country’s premier leisure destinations, offering families, youth, and tourists a safe and exciting environment for recreation and relaxation.
