The Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has called on various Ga family members especially the royal families to come together and use tradition and chieftaincy as an instrument for development.
According to the Speaker if Greater Accra is not well developed, Ghana cannot be developed and just as the colonial master of Ghana are using their Royal Kingdom to develop their country, the Ga traditional family members must lead in developing Accra, the capital of Ghana.
Rt. Hon. Speaker made this humble call in his office at Parliament when the family of the late Madam Agnes Yacoba Conduah, mother of Hon. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South, paid a courtesy call on the Speaker to officially inform him of her demise.
The leader of the delegation Jacob Herbert Nii Okanta Vanderpuije, traditionally invited the Speaker to the funeral which is scheduled to take place on Thursday 16th October 2025.
The former Member of Parliament for Odododiodio Constituency Hon. Edwin Nii Lante Vanderuije, thanked the Speaker for his warm reception and his passion to see the development of Greater Accra.
