For the first time in the history of the Energy Commission’s graduation ceremonies, the youngest-ever National Overall Best Candidate, an 18-year-old female electrician from the Ashanti Region, has emerged at the 23rd Electrical Wiring Certification and Awards Ceremony held on September 30, 2025. KNUST Campus Kumasi.
Under the theme: “Empowering Certified Practitioners: Securing L.I. 2008 Through Professional Authentication,”
A total of 228 electricians from Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, and Western North regions proudly graduated.
Out of this number, 6 were female candidates, underscoring the urgent need to encourage more women to venture into the electrical wiring profession and promote gender balance and inclusion.
