Tamale came alive on 2nd October 2025 as the regional version of the 23rd Electrical Wiring Certification and Awards Ceremony was held at the Radach Hotel. The Energy Commission proudly certified 240 new Electrical Wiring Professionals and Inspectors from the Northern, Upper East, Upper West, and Oti Regions.

Northern Sector announced an 81% national pass rate. In Tamale alone, 240 out of 260 candidates excelled, adding to the growing pool of 18,545 certified practitioners nationwide. He called on the graduates to uphold integrity and urged the public to engage only certified electricians for the sake of safety and traceability.
A major highlight was the rollout of the Installation Completion Certificate Mobile App (ICCAPP), already certifying over 102,000 installations nationwide, boosting safety and accountability in the sector.
The event celebrated excellence, with Ms. Konkoli Evelyn, the most outstanding female graduate, inspiring young women with her words: “This profession is no longer male-dominated.”
