On the issue of the Agribusiness Development Programme, efforts are being made to reduce heavy dependence on food imports, and accordingly, the Ministry has plans to undertake a number of activities including connecting graduates with opportunities in the agricultural value chain; Operationalizing the institutional commercial farms of the National Service Scheme and Youth Employment Agency; and to revamp the Amrahia Dairy Farm.

again the ministry aims to diversify agriculture under Agribusiness development into cash crops and livestock as a business, add value to existing commodities, and find a market for existing products while diversifying new ones.
