The incident, which affected several cars, caused structural damage to the solar panel covering a section of the carport. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

In an official statement, the mall assured affected vehicle owners that their insurers would cover all necessary repair expenses. “We recognize that some customers’ vehicles were impacted by this unfortunate event. We want to reassure those affected that our insurers are already assessing the damage and will ensure repairs are handled promptly,” the statement read.

A&C Mall also emphasized its commitment to strengthening the structure to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

The management expressed appreciation to the Ghana Police Service, the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), and the Ghana National Fire Service for their quick and effective response during the emergency.
