Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple is a Ghanaian politician and entrepreneur, serving on the National Welfare Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He is also the Volta Regional representative on the Council of State.
He is the CEO of Sesi-Edem Company Limited, licensed to sell, buy and export Gold.
Tanko’s philanthropic endeavors are realized through the Tanko Foundation, an organization focused on education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and community development throughout Ghana.
He is a visionary leader, self-confident, a leadership heavyweight, a focused selfless, an astute business professional who will go the extra mile to make people around him comfortable sometimes at his expense. His passion to put a smile on the faces of persons who encounter him and the ability to drive manpower to attain excellence is contagious.
Tanko is a proud Ewe from Weta in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta region of Ghana. In October 2023, Tanko was installed and conferred on Togbui Nyaxorladeakoria I of Anlo by Togbui Agbotadua Kumassah at Dzodze.

EDUCATION
His secondary school education was at Presbyterian Boys’ Senior Secondary School, Legon.
He successfully completed his first degree at the University of Ghana with a BA in Sociology with History.
Tanko also holds an International Executive MBA in Project Management from the Paris Graduate School of Management.
He also holds an International Certificate in Public-Private Partnership from CITED in Kenya.
Gabriel is currently pursuing his doctoral studies for Public Policy and Administration at Cavalla International University in the USA.
CURRENT WORK
Currently, Tanko is the Chief Executive Officer of Sesi-Edem Company Limited, a licensed and regulated company by the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC) to buy, sell, and export gold.
He is also the President of the Tanko Foundation. He is the headline sponsor of Duamenefa Foundation in Dzodze.

Saturday, August 2019, 2022 saw a huge gathering at the DOCSEC football park to witness the grand finale of the well-presented tournament. As a packed local sponsor of the entire tournament, the Tanko Foundation, exciting among other crucial commitments, funded the gifts and cash awards for the winners of the list to the fifth category.
It was a great joy to see the celebrated occasion graced by very talented professionals like Mr. Emmanuel Yeoman (Andrea Chiel Executive Officer of Duamenefa Foundation, the Honorable MP (represented), the MCE Crickle, the Casey Throne, Phantherer Personalistic Delegation from the Regional and National Sports Authorities on the Founding Members.
The long on the cake was the presence for the first time of an international dignitary, Quebec Bishop Lopes Moselville Life Perils, a fifth lawyer and the Publisher of Football Legal.
I am so impressed by our fruitful collaboration and the entire organization of the full edition of the DET.
