The Minister led the meeting, which brought together stakeholders from the National Film Authority (NFA), National Media Commission (NMC), and the Hon. Minister for Government Communications, Felix Ofosu Kwakye (MP).

The Hon. Minister also indicated that an MOU will be signed to develop a comprehensive framework for the broadcasting sector.

The meeting focused on harmonizing the roles of the different regulatory bodies and ensuring that the Broadcasting Bill is aligned with constitutional provisions. Discussions centered on the need for clear guidelines on content regulation, classification, and enforcement, as well as the importance of stakeholder engagement and consultation.

The meeting made significant progress in ironing out key issues and setting the stage for further consultations with industry stakeholders. The NFA, NCA, and NMC are expected to work together to develop a comprehensive framework for regulating the broadcasting sector.
