The Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwame Agbodza, has led a Team of Engineers on a 4-day Road Inspection Tour of the Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East, and Upper West Regions.
In the Savanna and Northern Regions work is said to be progressing steadily on the construction of Four (4) Major Bridges.
The bridges are located at Buipe, Yapei, Daboya and Nawunu.
The Minister, accompanied by his Deputy Alhassan Suhuyini and a Team of Engineers, inspected the project’s progress.
The Team also inspected the Binjia-Fufulso road and the Damango town road projects.
Briefing the media after the inspection of the bridges, Mr. Agbodza said the Buipe and Yapei Bridges are vital to the Country’s Road Network as they facilitate the movement of goods and people between the Northern and Southern Regions, as well as neighboring landlocked countries.
He expressed satisfaction with the progress of work and assured the Chiefs and people about the Government’s commitment to completing the bridges on time.
The Team is expected to pay a courtesy call on the Yaa Naa and inspect Major Road Projects in these Regions, including the Sawla-Wa Road, Wa-Bolgatang-Tamale Road, the Nalerigu-Tamale Road, the Wapuli Bridge, the Tamale-Yendi-Tatale Road and the Tamale Ring Roads.
