The newly sworn-in Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, Ewurabena Aubynn, has been appointed to serve on the Board of the Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA). Her appointment follows shortly after she officially took the oath of office on July 22, 2025.
The Ghana Shippers’ Authority, a key state institution under the Ministry of Transport, is mandated to protect and promote the interests of Ghanaian shippers. The Authority plays a central role in facilitating trade by ensuring fair shipping practices, regulating port services, and championing policies that support efficient freight and logistics systems across the country.
Hon. Ewurabena Aubynn comes into her new role with a strong background in public service, community development, and policy advocacy. Prior to entering Parliament, she was actively involved in local governance initiatives and was known for her commitment to social justice, women’s empowerment, and economic inclusion at the grassroots level.
Her inclusion on the GSA Board is expected to bring a fresh legislative perspective to the Authority’s operations as it continues to shape Ghana’s shipping and logistics landscape.
