The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to fairness, transparency, and development during his Volta Regional Thank You Tour, which made a stop in the Anlo Constituency.
As part of his visit, Hon. Asiedu Nketiah paid a courtesy call on the Awormefia of Anlo, Togbui Sri III, at his palace in Anloga. The Awormefia expressed solidarity with the NDC and its leadership, pledging continued support for national unity and development.
Addressing party members and traditional leaders, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah thanked the people of Anlo for their unwavering support during the last elections.
He assured them that the current government would prioritize equitable opportunities and sustainable development across all regions.
“We shall reset the country, and all of you will be satisfied,” he stated, commending the branch executives for their contribution to the party’s victory.
The Member of Parliament for Anlo, Kwame Sefe, highlighted pressing challenges facing his constituents, including limited access to fertilizers, farming tools, and employment opportunities.
He called for the decentralization of employment opportunities to ensure fairness for rural communities.
In response, Asiedu Nketiah assured constituents of renewed focus on job creation, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance.
“Next year will see more jobs, skills training, and empowerment programs,” he announced, also noting signs of improvement in the value of the cedi.
Touching on concerns surrounding security service recruitment, he promised a fair and transparent process.
“Past security recruitments were done in secrecy, with surnames as the basis. We shall make it fair to all so everyone can have the opportunity,” he affirmed.
The visit forms part of the NDC’s ongoing regional tour aimed at thanking supporters and strengthening the party’s grassroots base ahead of upcoming political activities.
